🌿 Sarsaparilla (salsa parilla) The Smurfs' absolute favorite! This vine grows in the forest and has a sweet, spicy flavor. Smurfs eat the leaves, make tea from them, or use them in all kinds of recipes. Some Smurfs affectionately call it “Smurf lettuce.”
🍇 Berries in all colors Smurfs love wild berries: blue, red, purple—they pick them straight from the forest. Delicious Smurf, in particular, knows exactly where the tastiest bushes are.
🍰 Cakes, Cookies, and Pastries Gluttony Smurf is the village baker and conjures up the most delicious cakes every day. His famous Smurf cake with berries is a classic at any party.
🍟 Fries (from the movie) In the movie Smurfs: The Lost Village, Smurfette is shown eating fries for the first time—and she finds them absolutely delicious! It's one of the rare occasions on which Smurfs taste “human food.”
🍄 Mushrooms (but not all!) Although their houses look like mushrooms, Smurfs actually eat some kinds—but only the safe, edible varieties.
🥧 Smurf Cake A traditional dish made with sarsaparilla, berries, and a secret mix of forest fruits. Only Gluttony Smurf knows the full recipe.
🥣 Soups and stews with forest herbs Papa Smurf sometimes makes nutritious soups with medicinal herbs – delicious and healthy!
🍽️ Greedy Smurf sometimes literally dreams of eating. In his sleep, he calls out, “Another piece of cake, please!”
🎉 At Smurf parties, long tables are piled high with cakes, juices, blueberry smoothies, and salsa parilla salad.
🚫 Smurfs don't eat meat. Their diet is entirely plant-based – out of respect for nature.
